Goldberg Segalla‘s west coast capabilities have grown with the addition of associate Jordan G. Cohen to the firm’s Sports and Entertainment and Retail and Hospitality Practice Groups in Los Angeles.
Working closely with Sports and Entertainment Practice Group Vice Chair John F. Stephens (recognized in the 2018 L.A. Leaders in the Law), Jordan will focus his practice on media and entertainment defense litigation. With John, who heads all of Goldberg Segalla’s west coast operations, Jordan will counsel and represent media entities, national and worldwide entertainment and sports companies, magazines, television and radio stations, production companies, entertainment technology companies, computer technology companies, online content and software providers, and talent. Equipped with substantial deposition and trial experience, Jordan has represented both individuals and corporations in a wide variety of commercial and civil litigation. He also has significant experience in consumer rights and warranty law.
Jordan earned his bachelor’s at the University of California Santa Cruz and went on to attend the University of California Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, where he served as submissions editor for the Hastings Race and Poverty Law Journal. Before graduating, he gained experience as a judicial extern with Magistrate Judge James Larson in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
In addition to his practice at Goldberg Segalla, Jordan serves as in-house counsel for Thank You For Coming, an experimental food and art space in Los Angeles. He also produced a feature-length documentary, I Think We’re Alone Now (2008), which was the official selection at several film festivals.
