Born in Cuba, del Amo immigrated to the United States when he was 7 years old. Aft er a successful 15-year career as an entrepreneur and businessman, he went to law school at the age of 32, graduating from the University of Miami in 1988. From there, he litigated cases, first as an associate and later as a partner for the fi rm High, Stack, Lazenby, Palahach & del Amo. In 1996, he opened his own fully bilingual office in Coral Gables, delAmoLaw, where he cemented his reputation as a leading personal injury and family law trial attorney.

Indeed, del Amo has enjoyed an AV Preeminent® rating by Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest for legal ability and ethical standards, since 1992. He has also been listed in Who’s Who for Practicing Attorneys and inducted into the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He is past president of the Coral Gables Bar Association and past director of both the Dade County Bar Association and the Latin Builder’s Association.
